Course overview
This course introduces Narrative Therapy, a collaborative and non-pathologising approach that focuses on the stories people create about themselves and their experiences. Participants learn how narratives influence identity, emotions, relationships and life choices, and explore key concepts such as externalising problems, identifying unique outcomes, re-authoring life stories, meaning-making and empowering alternative narratives. Through case examples and practical activities, participants understand how to help individuals separate themselves from their problems and develop more constructive and empowering perspectives about their lives.
This beginner-level course is delivered fully online and self-paced, with around four hours of pre-recorded expert content, practical worksheets, therapeutic tools and case-study discussions. On successful completion you receive a certificate, having built practical, application-ready skills for counselling, educational, personal-development and professional settings.
