Course overview
This course introduces the concepts, roles and practices of school counselling in supporting students' academic, emotional, social and behavioural development. Participants explore child and adolescent concerns, counselling skills, student assessment, career guidance, crisis support, parent-teacher collaboration and preventive mental health interventions, and focus on creating supportive school environments while addressing common challenges such as stress, anxiety, peer issues, learning difficulties and behavioural concerns. Through practical examples and activities, participants develop foundational skills for effective school counselling practice.
This beginner-level course is delivered fully online and self-paced, with around four hours of pre-recorded expert content, practical worksheets, therapeutic tools and case-study discussions. On successful completion you receive a certificate, having built practical, application-ready skills for counselling, educational, personal-development and professional settings.
