Course overview

This course introduces the key concepts and applications of Sports Psychology, focusing on the psychological factors that influence athletic performance, motivation and mental well-being. Participants explore topics such as goal setting, confidence building, concentration, emotional regulation, performance anxiety, mental resilience, team dynamics and peak performance strategies, and learn the role of psychological skills training in enhancing performance and supporting athletes in overcoming mental barriers. Through practical techniques, case examples and exercises, participants develop an understanding of how psychological principles can be applied in sports and performance settings.

This beginner-level course is delivered fully online and self-paced, with around four hours of pre-recorded expert content, practical worksheets, therapeutic tools and case-study discussions. On successful completion you receive a certificate, having built practical, application-ready skills for counselling, educational, personal-development and professional settings.
