Course overview
This 20+ hour course provides an in-depth understanding of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), one of the most widely researched and applied therapeutic approaches. Participants explore the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviours and learn how cognitive patterns influence psychological experiences. The course covers cognitive distortions, automatic thoughts, thought records, cognitive restructuring, behavioural activation, exposure techniques and CBT intervention strategies, and through practical tools, worksheets, case studies, demonstrations and experiential exercises, participants learn to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and apply CBT techniques effectively in practice.
Delivered as 20+ hours of live, interactive online training, the course combines lectures with hands-on live practice in real time, in small groups in breakout rooms, plus role plays, worksheets, therapeutic tools and case-study discussions. On successful completion you receive a certificate, having developed the confidence to apply these approaches in counselling, educational, organisational and community settings.
