Course overview
This course introduces Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a strengths-based and future-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on solutions rather than problems. Participants learn core SFBT concepts including miracle questions, scaling questions, exception finding, coping questions, goal setting and strengths identification, and explore how small changes can create meaningful progress and how therapists can facilitate client-led solutions. Through demonstrations, practical exercises and case examples, participants develop skills to apply SFBT techniques effectively in counselling and helping relationships.
This beginner-level course is delivered fully online and self-paced, with around four hours of pre-recorded expert content, practical worksheets, therapeutic tools and case-study discussions. On successful completion you receive a certificate, having built practical, application-ready skills for counselling, educational, personal-development and professional settings.
